Brain Imaging Research Project

Call for Subjects

Are you Active Duty, National Guard, Veteran, or First Responder?

Do you suffer from combat related PTSD, trauma, depression, TBI or other mental health issue?

Have you suffered from multiple concussions or blast injuries?

Are you a first responder who has experience and work related trauma, PTSD, TBI, or depression?

Are you a female mental or physical trauma survivor?

If any of these describe you and you would like to take part in a highly innovative therapy option, we are looking for you.

The initial scans will be done in the LA area on May 13-14. You would be committing to rescan at 6 months and 1 year. You will receive individualized care during the week of Connecting SoCal.

Goal: Creating a unique and highly innovative protocol with targeted and personalized mental health treatments for depression and suicide prevention by drawing from validated functional brain imaging biomarkers known to enhance clinical effectiveness.

No Vet Alone (NVA) is teaming with the Amen Clinics to look at how brain activity and cerebral blood flow correlates enhance depression treatments outcomes in the veteran population since depression is a well-established precipitant of suicide.

NVA will identify volunteers to take part in this initial study looking at the effects that the NVA programming has on blood flow and balancing of brain activity in relation to reduced depression scores and suicidality.  This will be measured against a control group treated with the current standard of care which is comprised of antidepressant medication and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
